Smaraṇa is a chanting companion. It listens through your device's microphone only while you chant, to light up each word as you say it. All speech recognition happens on your device. Audio is never recorded, stored, or sent anywhere.
Smaraṇa has no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no tracking.
If you turn on Share diagnostics (off by default), a small follow-quality report is sent to Smaraṇa's server after a chanting session: which words matched and the text the recognizer read — never audio. It is tagged with a random install identifier that is not linked to you and resets if you uninstall the app. These reports are used only to improve recognition quality. Turn the toggle off at any time to stop sharing.
